This can not be done directly in the crosstab query but you need to use the crosstab as the source for another query that can create the calculated fields.<br />
<br />
Please note that you may need to include FIXED COLUMN HEADINGS in your CROSSTAB to get the second query to work correctly without errors.<br />

The FIXED COLUMN HEADINGS are a property of the query, right mouse click on the area you add the tables in the query design and then select properties, you can then enter the definitive list of values you require as coilumn headings.<br />

Yes but the headings you have specified ar eth valid values for your column headings. For example you could have months as your column headings and as this is data driven then you may not get all 12 months so you use fixed column headings to ensure all 12 months are included in the query. Without this you will get errors in your subsequent query.<br />

I have now created the fixed headings, when I now create my new query, say I wanted to add totals for Jan, Mar, Jun, can I use the following formula in an empty column on my new query to achieve the results I want?<br />

Some of trainees are similar in type and I need to be able to provide sub-totals across the columns, for instance, columns 1,5,9 need to be sub-totalled, then 2,6,10, then 3,7,11, then 4,8,12.
