Solved: How do I fix a laptop thats been on a domain, so it can used on a workgroup?

I have a laptop that I used inside a workplace operating in a domain. That work has finished and now the laptop will not communicate with my workgroups on my personal network. I believe the problem has to do with something left over from the domain access. It WILL connect to the internet through my linksys wireless router and cable modem but it does not find any of the other computers within my network. I have two other laptops and two desk tops that all communicate ok. I've done a ipconfig on all and the only irregularity I can see is the one thats not communicating has DOMAIN.INVALID in the dns suffix where all the others have hsd1.va.comcast.net. I went into the system properities, computer name change and added the dsn suffix to this computer but it made no difference. I then checked the other working computers and the primary dsn suffix was blank on all of them. I've tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew but that didn't help either. I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated
