Access Control lists with wildcard mask in hostnames
hi
i want to create an Extented ACL so that it can permit or deny host names with wildcard masks in it
Example: *.example.com
is there a way that that an ACL can be created so that a perticular host cannot access *.example.com
Thanks in advance

hi,
have a look at the link below. This may help.
Well i am not sure if your router's IOS supports the stuff mentioned in the link.

saurabh_nissh I'm not sure your solution will dynamically change resolve IP addresses using your method. In cases where sites have a number of IPs that are round robined, it will only block one IP address. Though the router will support it.
