Windows Vista User Profile Service Failed at Logon

Hey everybody,

So I seem to have run into a slight problem - as if there is anything but on this site :p - I have a windows vista computer (not connected to a domain) that has given me the error "User Profile Service Failed at Logon..."

Prior to the restart that I noticed this on, I had just installed TeamViewer (remote desktop software). In fact, I had performed the restart using the software. Also I had just completed a virus scan in which four entities were quarantined. I was able to log in in safe mode and while I couldn't delete TeamViewer I disabled its service in msconfig.

I have looked around on line and some sites have suggested that it is something in the registry (S-1-5) or something. Can anyone verify/suggest a solution?
