Getting started making a simple layout

Last Modified: 2012-05-06

I'd like to make a simple html page which looks like the (probably misaligned) ascii image in the code attachment.

I just want it to have a solid background color. Then I guess a single <div> where all the content is wrapped inside.  Instead of having square corners, I wanted to have a very small rounded-corner gif for each corner to make it look a little nicer.

Do I use a <div> for the main chunk in the middle? How do I position the rounded corner images? My page will be a fixed-width of 400px, but the height would vary with the amount of content.

Thanks for any info
