Vmware backup of ESXi with BackupExec 10

Is there a way of backing up VM's on a ESXi server using a plain standard version of BEXEC 10 (using network shares, scripts, etc) ? Presently, we only have ESXi, no Foundation or Standard Version or VCB.

Are there any agents that could be purchased for BE10 for this ? Or do we have to go to a Foundation version which includes VCB and also upgrade our BEXEC software with appropriate agents ?

Thanks.
