I run my full backups to disk, then duplicate the job to tape.  I run 6 backup to disk jobs at once, then duplicate the jobs to tape.

Hoping to gain a little more throughput to the disk storage (EQ SAN) I modified the media server NIC, the san switch, and our SAN interfaces to 9000MTU (setting was default of 1500).

On average for the backup to disk portion of the jobs, I lost around 100MB/min and extended my jobs by a few hours.

I'm hoping someone can point out some additional settings that need to be made to take advantage of the higher MTU.  Thanks!

Backup Exec version - 11D Sp1 and hotixes 17-28
Media Server - PowerEdge 2650 (onboard Broadcom NIC), Server 2003 Std. SP1
ISCSI Initiator - Microsoft software
SAN - EQ PS400e
switch - Cisco 3750
