IIS7 url redirect

Microsoft IIS Web ServerWeb ServersWindows Server 2008

I am tasked to move 20 sites from an older windows 2003 server running IIS 6 to a new Windows 2008 server running IIS7, my questions sounds stupid because this was so easy to do in IIS6.

Let me try my best to explain what we are trying to do.

Each site answers to www and non www ( http://mysite.com & http://www.mysite.com )in IIS6 I just made 2 sites for each header the www and the non www, but for the www I had it redirect to the non www.. so what would happen is a user typed in http://www.mysite.com IIS6 would redirect the traffic to the http://mysite.com changing the URL.

So what im trying to do is the same thing in IIS7 where it will always redirect the www traffic to the non www site, I see IIS7 has a redirect option but when I use this option I end up in an constant loop when the non www site is entered&

I found a snap to IIS7 called URL Rewrite, but I am unable to make this work for this?

Any help?
