We regularly create PowerPoint presentations with linked AVI or WMV movies. Sometimes in the course of distribution, videos are renamed or moved. I need a way to restore those broken links without losing the Custom Animation info (start time,, stop time volume setting, etc.).
In PPT2002, if the program encountered a broken media link, it would automatically open a dialog and let the user locate the missing file, preserving the Animation settings. In PPT2003, all we get is a useless dialog box saying 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file..." The only alternative is to re-insert the movie, and recreate all of the custom animation settings. Anyone got a better idea?
Thanks!
