Use the DIR commands to list diretories only including subdirectories

Is someone aware of an open source utility that enables me to pump directory data into Excel or Access?  For example, I just ran the command dir /s >dirlist.txt.  It would be very cool to pump that data into Excel or Access where I could sort or filter it as needed.

I'd like to put the file attributes in separate columns (notably the file size).

Thanks for the wonderful responses.  The VBA works beautifully.  The batch file does as well.  I'll give DIRUSE a try as well.  Thanks again.

jdana:

Thank you for the compliment.  I've used a very similar program since 2001 to list MP3s in a directory and then another to rename the files with changes.  It was only a matter of adding file size to the code for you.  Glad that I could assist.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Kindest Regards,

Jaes
