AOFO will full fill your snapshot backups and license needs to updated only on the server which has the option installed.

is there any free backup agent license to use to connect to remote servers?

i like to verify with you on the following:
1. backup exe licence - is it able to do remote backexe agent installations?
2. AOFO License - Is it for snapshot capturing?

1. backup exe licence - is it able to do remote backexe agent installations? - yes you can push the installation remotely and the agent needs to be licensed on remote machine
2. AOFO License - Is it for snapshot capturing?  - it is used for both snapshot and open file backups( files which are in use ex: PST)

Hi,
Just like to clarify point 1, you said the agent needs to be license. I have installed the agent in the master server which has back exec license and AOFO license. When i push down the agent from the master machine what license must i give the remote machine.

Current 2 licenses:
1. Backup exec license
2. AOFO license
Are they sufficient?
