How do I create line and bar chart together in crystal report used in visual studio?

I tried to embed line chart over bar chart in crystal report. When I preview it, it works fine (I made the background color of line chart as transparent). But when I try to run it in the browser I'm not being able to see the underlying bar chart.
Can anyone please help me?

Line-column chart is available in Excel but not in crystal reports. Why is it so?

Thanks for your answer Dan. I think I'm not clear with my question. I need line and bar chart seperately(not in the same series) embedded in one chart( meaning line chart and bar chart will be used to compare the values like performance of employee x against ideal performance) against date. Please let me know if you have any solution for this

do we have series option in crystal reports 10.5.3700.0 used with visual studio? I tried to right click on the individual bars to change from bars to line but in vain. The same option works in latest version that has a separate crystal report designer.

The version of Crystal Reports that is built-into (part of) Visual studio is missing a LOT of functionality - I guess that is why they give it away for free.

I believe that if you have a version of Crystal Reports DEVELOPER, then it is suppoed to give you full access to the "designer" features even while you are using Visual Studio. But I am not 100% as my knowledge is limited to charting stuff.
