We personally use Avira Antivirus, it's excellent, has a brilliant detection rate and doesn't hog system resources. The enterprise version is also relatively inexpensive. Hope this helps

I will not put links to any datasheets, or sales presentation. So I'll give you my answer based on my experience with the product, it's (Symantec Endpoint Protection 11) the latest Enterprise-level AV product from Symantec. People had problems in the past, but now it more stable, faster, and more features and options. I'll mention the best of them:<br />
<br />
1) Virus detection engine: Re-engineered to detect rootkits and all type of malicious files (Better than Symantec AV ver 10/9/8)<br />
<br />
2) Device Control Policies: Block USB/CD-ROM/DVD/FLoppy/..et<wbr />c using customized policies for different groups of users.<br />
<br />
3) Application Control Policies: Create an approved application list, and deny any unknown/unapproved ones. For ex, Our sales team have access to four applications only (IE / Adobe Reader / Citrix client / 3G client) ... anything else will not execute/open ...! <br />
<br />
4) Network Threat Protection (FW / IPS): You can have granular FW policies based on (applications/ports/protoc<wbr />ols/interf<wbr />aces). IPS is very powerful when it comes to block incoming attacks (for example, 90% of blocked attacks are Browser exploits)<br />
<br />
5) Location-based Policies: You can have a different set of policies for each location, for example you can allow print &amp;&nbsp;file sharing inside your corporate network, and disable it while connecting through a wireless network (ex. inside a Cafe). <br />
<br />
6) Proactive Threat Protection: This will inspect running processes for any malicious Behavior. <br />
<br />
7: Network Access Control built-in agent: Endpoint protection 11 is NAC-ready. So, you can deploy Symantec NAC without installing additional agents. <br />
<br />
In the end, you can download a trial version and evaluate it in a test lab.<br />

We switched from Symantec to ESET NOD32 and I havent had one single virus/spyware infection in a year. Very very small footprint on the machines (some of our are older) which is really nice. i have it running across all our offices.

Been using Kaspersky products for ages , detection rate is the highest among AV solutions, this includes spyware , rogue software  and Malware originated network attacks  The updates are released several times a day , which I am sure is not the case with other AV products, Performance impact is next to none, the administration Kit is excellent and you can control pretty much anything on the clients side.

I have used Sophos for over 10 years. I have it installed on all my client's networks. The Pure Message component alone is worth the cost. &nbsp;If you have fewer than 100 workstations, you can use &nbsp;Small Business Edition (SBE), otherwise, they have an Enterprise Edition - that one gives you extremely granular control over applications, file access, etc, it's amazing. &nbsp;SBE is very good and it is even less expensive than McAfee or Symantec, and WAY EASIER to administer. Just make sure to get the Pure Message component if you are running an Exchange Server.

We also dumped Symantec for NOD32. &nbsp;We had a few demos from F-Secure, Trend Micro, etc., but for price and performance, NOD32 wins the contest.<br />
I will say, however, Sophos does look good. &nbsp;I use their freeware command line version for cleaning up after spyware.<br />

We are currently getting ready to renew our Trend Micro and I was interested in looking at alternatives before we renew. &nbsp; &nbsp;Basically we just need a good spyware/virus protection program for an enterprise environment. &nbsp;We don't necessarily need to change, but I want to make sure that I explore our options first. Also, about half of our computers are laptops, so they are often off of our network.<br />
I am looking for any suggestions, recommendations, comments that you might have. &nbsp;I am also interested in Vipre so I would love to hear feedback on that as well if any of you are using it.<br />
