Hand made page + search engines

Hi

I made a simple webpage. It isliterally just an opening HTML tag then a table. I'm wondering if there is anything I need to add for google etc to be able to find my page for searches etc. I was goingbto use wordpress and it seems like they have a lot of extra stuff built into the HTML pages, wondering if I'll be missing anything in my simple hand-made page which will not make it as visible to search engines?
