\Device\Harddisk2\DR2 has predicted that it will fail. (Message in Event Log)
Running windows 2003 sbs server.
I have 4 hard drives connected to my computer, in various ways, and I need to know which one this event is referring to : \Device\Harddisk2\DR2 has predicted that it will fail.
Here are the drives and how they are connected.
2 IDE hard drives - (primary boot disk is IDE)
1 SATA hard drive
1 external USB hard drive.
Thanks for the help!!

its the BOIS that is telling you what's about to fail - reboot and press <DEL> or <F2> while its booting (before the Os gets loaded) to get into BIOS and then find the menu with the discs...

Is serial EIDE another name for SATA or is serial EIDE referring to the older IDE style with the big ribbon?

I rebooted and on boot I received a message that "Drive 0 on primary serial EIDE" is going to fail.
Now is serial EIDE another name for SATA or is serial EIDE referring to the older IDE style with the big ribbon?
