Moving an Exchange 2007 Server from One Site to Another
Hello,
I am wondering if I will cause any issues if I build an Exchange 2007 server in one network, test it, then turn it off, bring it to my data center, and turn it on at that location. The networks have a private fiber connection and are two different subnets: 10.0.x.x /16 is my local site and the remote site is 10.1.x.x /16.
I was not sure if the server will remember the local DC it uses when it installs or the temporary IP address I will need to give it. Is this a bad idea? I am trying to avoid running into issues at the data center that will keep me there all weekend.
