Sharp AR-M550N not sending email out of Exchange 2007
I am trying to setup a Sharp AR-M550N for scan-to-email.
I've created an account called Sharp, and I've entered the credentials correctly. When I click the Test button under the SMTP settings, it shows:
Connection Successful. [NTLM]
However, no mail ever comes through. I have attempted this test using the Administrator account, and mail comes through, but I can't tell what the difference is as far as Exchange is concerned for allowing a user to send mail over port 25.
This is running through a Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 system which naturally has Exchange 2007 on it. Please let me know if anyone needs more information to come to a conclusion on how to fix this.

Have you loged into the webmail for the Sharp account and tested sending mail from there? Or logon to a compuer with the sharp account and try sending from outlook then try it again on the scanner. Sometimes accounts act weird until you logon to a comptuer with them.

I had the same thought and tried that yesterday. I have logged in using Outlook Web Access as well as configuring Outlook on a local machine and was able to send email both internally and outside the network. However, it didn't solve the problem unfortunately.
Have you tried deletig the account and recreating it?

I have. I've tried creating it using a wizard, and manually in AD and Exchange Manager, but with the same result.
Have you tried makeig the user an administrator? Maybe it requires admin rights.......
