06 Acura TSX how can i reset the service needed indicator

i am attempting to reset the service needed indicator on my 06 acura TSX is there some way to do this , i have not changed the oil yet , is it realated to the oil viscoisty or something or is iit MANAUALLY RESETABLE????

Try to keep the ignition key turned to the contact position withoutstarting the engine and hold the the reset button .... the one you useto reset your miles on trip .... that should work

Agree.  that is the method in our Honda.  And Acuras are very similar.

You might check the owner's manual.  The procdure is explained in our manual.

on my 97 Acura CL, you simply insert your key into a little slot right next to the light.  Resets the service needed light back to green instead of red
Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.

This information is located in your driver's manual under Gauges Page 67.

1. turn off the engine

2. press and hold the select/reset knob in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch to ON.

3. Hold the knob for about ten seconds until the indicator resets.
