How can I view the WSS 3.0 full crawl schedule
We are running WSS 3.0 only. I am able to run a full crawl, manually, from the command prompt with stsadm -o spsearch -action fullcrawlstart , but I would like to view it's schedule if any and possibly schedule it to run nightly. Where can I see how often it is scheduled to run if at all? If it is not running do I need to schedule it in the task scheduler? Everything I've found on line refers to MOSS 2007's interface, which WSS does not have. Any help is appreciated.
Go to your Central Admin, and under "Operations" tab go to "services on server" and you'll see the search service with it's status. You can click on it and update the timings.

I was under the impression that this was the incremental search. The default is every 5 minutes (although I know I can change that) and I have read several references to running an additional full crawl nightly during off hours. Are you sure that setting is for a full crawl? There were many documents that did not show up until I ran the above script even thought the search service had been runningsuccessfully.
This service should do a full crawl on your sharepoint site. If you are finding documents that are not getting indexed, check the document library settings, under "Advanced Settings" to see if the library or list is set to appear in the search results.
We also have a WSS 3.0 configuration and I just one timer job for search called "Sharepoint Services Search Refresh" (do you have this running?)
