Are the remote mailboxes fully updated? &nbsp;If the users have very large mailboxes, the first time they launch outlook in cached exchange mode it will start downloading the entire mailbox.<br />
<br />
If the mailbox is large, say hundreds of megs, it needs to transfer that data across your WAN link, which can be very slow. &nbsp;It is possible that the remote users haven't fully synchronized with exchange since the upgrade?<br />
<br />
If you have a lot of remote users, they could be saturating your WAN link all trying to update their mailboxes at the same time.

The number of mail items in the folder may be contributing. Outlook tries to check the header information for every visible item in the folder. &nbsp;Moving items into sub folders, or using views, may result in a speed gain.

We have a remote office that connects via WAN to our exchange server 2003<br />

We recently upgraded all out systems to use Office 2007. Our local branch has no issues when it comes to response time of Outlook 2007 and opening large emails. But our Remote site now does experience a large slow down in opening emails.<br />

We have one exchange server it's running in our local office.<br />
<br />
i'm tried various microsoft artical to increase the spead, such as remove add-ins disable RSS feeds, set time for search indexing. No .pst are added to these accounts either.<br />
<br />
With outlook 2003 from the remote office they had no issues.<br />
<br />
Any suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated.<br />

Outlook 2007 very slow when opening emails from Exchange
