Go here <a href="http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe" rel="ugc">http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe</a>&nbsp;and download this program from the Mcafee site. &nbsp;It will completely remove the mcafee suites of malware, errr bloatware, oh my, I mean software. &nbsp;Anyway, if that doesnt complete the task for you, the only other solution I know of would be to open regedit and search mcafee and delete every known instance of it in the registry. &nbsp;Not a task for the faint at heart. &nbsp;At any rate the McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool has never failed to provide me the relief I was seeking.

Thank you for such a fast comment, however I did go to the removal site before I came here and tried to download renoval tools. It started up but seemed to freeze and after 30 minutes I elected out of it. I have went to the site you suggested and was able to do everything but when the program started to do the job, it told me the cleanup failed because cleanup was already running and that has been 7 hours ago. What next? I am pulling my hair out here.

well I think that first I would edit msconfig to make every effort to disable any/all Mcafee services and startups that I could. &nbsp;Then I would boot into safe mode (to be assured that the MCPRT app wasnt still trying to do its job) and perhaps try running the same app again. &nbsp;If it doesnt produce results within an hour or so. &nbsp;Reboot once more and do the regedit scenario I spoke of. &nbsp;Way back when I had to do a similar thing to remove Norton. &nbsp;Allow me to ask, what apparent residuals are left from the app? &nbsp;I mean what exactly is it that you are witnessing or experiencing that is causing the grief?
