How do I reset the password for my user account on Windows Vista Business virtual machine on VMware

Did you forget or use the password??  are you able to logon at all?

you can create and use the ultimate boot CD and create an ISO and boot from that ISO to do a password recovery.

The problem is I installed this morning VMware Fusion on my Mac and then created my first virtual machine by using the Windows Vista Business DVD I ordered.

After the installation process (and after long waiting) the vista login screen shows up for the first time. And there was immediately the password box. Strange, because during installation (if I can remember well) I was not asked to setup this initial password...

Were you asked a user ID during installation? *or installer?*

If you were, you may have skimmed over it and try putting in the user ID with no password and see if that works....

Try a blank password. Also, you could try ophcrack if it's not blank.
