unable to requeste a certificate, says NO TEMPLATE COULD BE FOUND, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO REQUEST CERT. FROM THIS CA. plz help

We have an OCS internal server and an edge server now going to install CWA too but when i request a certificate from existing certification authority which is OCS internal server says NO TEMPLATE COULD BE FOUND, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO REQUEST CERT. FROM THIS CA.  need experts thoughts.....

My querry related to Office Communication Server 2007 and O/S is 2003 standard with SP2.

First the Certificate Authority role should not be collocated on the OCS Server.  It should be on a separate box or on a domain controller.
As for a certificate authority I recommend you use an Enterprise Version of Windows Server to support certificate autoenrollment.
Your issue though is the account you are using (logged into CWA with during the request) doesn't have read and enrollment permissions on the templates.  Either use a different account or change the permissions.
Might also check http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811418 but I doubt it's the issue.

Then you were probably missing a host record in DNS for the FQDN of the certificate authority server or the A record points to the wrong IP.
