check that the web publishing service is running, and iis shows the deafult website as started.<br />
the vs foir smtp shouldnt effect this as that is only for receiving smtp mail.

Hi Tried to use <a href="https:\\localhost\exchange" rel="ugc nofollow">https:\\localhost\exchange</a>, it asked for user name and pw. When I tried it does not authenticate me. <br />
But I can access user's mailbox using Outlook. It means server is working fine.<br />
Environment: If I access OWA then it goes thru ISA 2004 then it comes to OWA server then it goes to MB server. <br />
Permissions are well defined in Website. No new CA was installed.<br />
Do u think there is any problem with ISA server? Because that was also patched up today. <br />
Checking for web publishing service.....<br />
