How to repair Adobe PDF Preview Handler in MS Outlook 2007

The PDF preview handler stopped working in MS Outlook 2007.  I get an error telling me that this file cannot be previewed.

How do I fix this?

I was seeing the same error on an XP Service Pack 2 machine wtih Outlook 2007 and Acrobat Reader 8.1:
--
This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer:
Adobe PDF Preview Handler
--
The error was occurring on ALL pdf files, and I don't have Google Desktop installed.

I tried upgrading to Acrobat Reader 9.1, but to no avail.

After reading this post, I ran Office Diagnostics while Outlook was still running, and then auto-magically the PDF previewing started to work! I'm pretty sure I wasn't doing anything related to Outlook or Acrobat Reader/PDF while the diagnostics were running.

Anyway, I'm glad the preview works now, and I wanted to share my story. Thanks for the tip!
How do you run office diagnostics?
In MS Outlook 2007, under the Help menu, choose Office Diagnostics.
The office diagnostics fixed it for me.

thanks.
Running Office diag did the trick, even though it didn't find any problems. Thanks!
Diagnostics fixed it for me as well, thanks for the tip!
