How to redirect a network shared folder?

Is it possible to redirect a shared folder from one server to another?
Example -
1 - Workstations always access a file located on \\oldserver\folder_needed\
2 - \\oldserver has a local folder C:\Folder_needed\) shared as \\oldserver\folder_needed
I want to share the folder folder_needed on a \\newserver as \\newserver\folder_needed.

Is it possible to have the \\oldserver redirect to \\newserver transparently?
( I don't want to have to change all the shortcuts on 100+ workstations?
Thank you in advance.
