how to assign Static IP in DHCP

Hi,
Really simple one, but I have a netgear wireless router, I have plugged it into my network, and web onto the interface and give it the following IP 192.168.100.50, I then went into DHCP and created a new reservation with the mac/ip address, restarted the server and wifi box and the reservation keeps showing as inactive?
What am I doing wrong?

Make sure your DHCP on the router is turned off.

Also make sure your Scope Options (DNS Servers, DNS Domain Name and classless static routes are all well configured.

MAC Adr is correct on the reservation?
