How to enable PDF output type on HP PhotoSmart C7280

I'd like to use my HP PhotoSmart C7280 printer to create a (multi-page) PDF file. From the HP Solution Center help file I understand PDF should be listed among the document file types, but it's not listed in the drop-down box for the output file type.

I am using a clean install of Windows XP Professional + SP2. I'm using the latest HP Drivers + Software.

There must be something very obvious that I'm failing to see. If anyone could lend me a hand on how to debug this, I'd be ever so grateful.
