How to set the shared pool authorization?<br />
Open a session to your HMC, expand your managed system(s), mark each lpar (one by one), select 'properties' -&gt; 'hardware' <br />
and check the box beneath &quot;Allow performance information collection&quot; (new text with HMC 7)<br />
Now you can use lparstat in full. Look at<br />
<br />
- physc physical processors used <br />
- %entc percentage of the entitled capacity used <br />
- app available (remaining) processors in shared pool<br />
lparstat -i gives you LPAR information, lparstat -H reports on hypervisor calls.<br />
The basic format is <i>lparstat [interval] [number of samples]</i><br />
Use<i> 'man lparstat'</i> to learn more.<br />
You can, now that all LPPARS collect performance data, use the topas cross-lpar panel. Enter 'topas' and press 'C' in the main window. <br />

Is there a command which I can run to see the utilzation data for the cpu's in the shared pool .I mean which VIOC grabs how much cpu . Can I collect the utilisation data on the VIO server side .
