How to share on NETAPP FAS2050

We have just gotten a NETAPP FAS 2050. I know nothing about this box, I know that on our Symmetrix, we present a LUN to a server the server sharers the data out to users.... Can I do the same on the NETAPP? So I map a drive on ServerA to the share on the NETAPP, there are no sharing options when I right click on that drive on ServerA.... ???

The NetApp is a file server in itself (NAS). Your users can connect directly to the NetApp shares.

Two problems with that #1 the filer is off in its own network no one can access - #2 The existing file server is in an AD domain and they use those accounts to assign permissions.  So we wanted to present the share to the server (like we do with LUN's now) and let it sharer that out with permissions applied.

Check to see if you have a CIFS license on the NetApp.  If you do than you should be able to create shares on the netapp and use something like robocopy to copy all the files with ntfs permissions intact.  The NetApp makes a great file server (just installed 3 the last 2 days) and allows the user to access their own backups by just going to an windows explorer and typing "~snapshot" and it will bring up all the snapshots available and they can recover files on their own without admin intervention (if you have snapmanager)
