Have you tried using the Persistent option?<br />

So net use t: \\filexx\d$ /persistent:NO<br />
Then net use t: /delete<br />
<br />
Then see if savecred works? &nbsp;I am not sure, but it may be worth a try.<br />

Nope. That didn't work. Still says user name not found. I think it's really saved someplace and I need to delete it from there.

There has got to be a way to overwrite what was there previously. What is one supposed to do when a password on the remote server changes? Ya know?

I am trying to connect from a Windows 2003 R2 host into a Windows 2003 server over the network using a net use statement. When I try to connect, I get an system error 2221 the user name cannot be found. The actual net use command is:<br />

I can map to this server manually using the Administrator account on the remote server, but when I use the savecred switch, I cannot do it. Is there a way I can delete out the old saved information? I have a feeling an invalid user ID was stored locally previously from the savecred switch and that is why I am getting the &quot;user name cannot be found&quot; error.
