Exchnage 2007 transport service stopped
sbs 2008 server...exchange 2007 all of a sudden stopped sending/received email.
exchange transport service doesn't start on boot up, i can start it and it stops after about 20-30 seconds.
i don't think its back pressure but not sure. free space is fine. everything else is fine.
have a mail.que file that has built up to 4gb. i have tried everything short of calling microsoft.
this is an emergency. any sugestions? thank you

nothing has changed as far as updates....of course since this started earlier today, i installed update rollup 6 for ex 2007 sp1

What has changed recently? Any patches, etc? Please check your event logs and post any Exchange related errors.
