simple backup system for small enterprise

I have a 20 employee company with windows laptops (vista) some linux and some windows 2003 servers. I need to get a backup system going. I was considering Amanda but I would be happy to have them purchase a NAS or Netapp like filer if that is the right thing.

I need both the hardware and software to do the backups.

Any suggestions?

there are two option here,

either go with the software which provides you with license to backup all the machines on network by spending more OR

get a nas box like terastation and create LUN and save the user data on them and use any available softwares in the market to back the share.

i prefer later because this will help you save money when u go with license of different products as you have to shell more than getting a NAS with full warranty
