Do some basic tests:<br />

Send a standard 1. Text only email, 2. HTML/Word based email to a webmail account. ie. Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo. See if the messages get through ok. They should if I read your mail properly.<br />

Since messages with heavy attachments get sent several times, there may be a communication issue between the laptop and server and perhaps the laptop set up may also be at fault. More info on your setup would be good.<br />

If you have some large PST files connected to your outlook try disconnecting them and then send a large mail. Huge PST may cause slowness problems to outlook.

Text only works fine as expected - its just the attachment thingy - no problem with server since I am using same server on second pc. actually forwarded email to me from other pc [which I recieved 3 times] disconnected laptop from the net &amp;&nbsp;cancelled email - [it was still in out box &amp;&nbsp;no show in sent items] - e.g. can send large emails from my pc but not lap top can go into server email and send same email - no problem it is definately the lap top or program - more info pst files? - but I do not think this accounts for multiple sending and getting stuck &amp;&nbsp;the no show in sent items? &nbsp;Back to you - &amp;&nbsp;thanks again for your time :)<br />

Adding to what anvanster mentioned, how healthy is your PST file?

Could you take a back up of the PST and then create a fresh profile with a brand new PST?<br />
You can always refer the past emails on your back up PST.<br />

Soo sorry about the delay in getting back to you - have been ill. &nbsp;Anyway on the weekend I tried war1 suggestion &amp;&nbsp;disable trend email send and changed the time from 1 min to 5 &amp;&nbsp;yup fantastic - problem is sorted. &nbsp;This has been a problem for some time &amp;&nbsp;I am very greatfull for everybodys help &amp;&nbsp;suggestions.<br />

We have a second new pc on the same line and server running XP &amp;&nbsp;2007 no problems. &nbsp;Have run antivial all is well there so I would appreciate any help you can offer. <br />

outlook 2007 is slow to send, mail stays in out box, sends multiple emails, particularly large attachments.
