There are two variables you may need to set (on Windows) 
The SMTP and sendmail_from variables are used when sending e-mail messages through PHP's mail() function. 
 
These variables set the SMTP server to be used and the From: address to display in e-mail messages; 
 
SMTP = myserver.localnet.comsendmail_from = me@localhost.com 
 
 
Ask for the hosting company to change/activate this for you. 
They'll do it.

You can always use PHPMailer and set it up to use a email account from your domain in Godaddy. 
It's really easy to configure and use. 
 
This works by letting you send email from PHP thru a (internal/external) smtp mail server. 
It supports everything; attachments, bcc, cc, etc...
