Offline Files Won't Sync

I have a user that uses offline files.  He selects a folder within a mapped drive which is connected to the sbs server.
P:\Test\FolderMapped

FolderMapped is made to be made available offline and everything syncs up - he leaves the office and makes changes to the files.  When he comes back he is unable to sync any files he modified.  (Even after log off log on)

He gets Access to 'test.docx' is denied on \\Server\Test\FolderMapped.

In addition it appears as if his mapped drive can now only see the directories that were marked as offline.  Now by going to the server by IP address he can see all of the files.  So it would appear as if it's not reconnecting his mapped drive correctly.  But he can still touch/communicate/authenticate to the server with no problems.  If we try to sync because the server is 'Available for reconnect, 1 modified file(s) he gets the same error I listed above.

Unfortunately the problems listed above aren't what we're experiencing.  He has full permission to the share and all of its subdirectories which include the directory he has marked offline.  There are other users with an identical setup that aren't experiencing the issue. I have rebuilt his offline database, re-mapped his directory.  Changed the location and verified permissions on root and directory.

I tried the Cache thing using both methods but neither option resolved the issue...

I am trying to pull from my memory a while back.

But Make sure that the Share permissions (not ntfs) gives everyone full permissions.

Then give this particular user full read rights to the root of the share.  See if this fixes the problem.

If it does, then you will have to mess with permissions from there.  I believe I had the same issue for a home folder problem.  I had to give all users read permissions to the root of the share.  Then block inheritence on all the sub-folders and assign explicit rights to their own home folders.
Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.

E:\Users is the share.  -- Share Permissions = Full Control Everyone.

E:\                         -  Security permissions give domain users read\execute.
E:\Users                -  Security permissions give domain Users and Users have all but full control granted.
E:\Users\JPreston -  Security permissions give JPreston full control.

All permissions for the JPreston is directory are inherited by its child objects which includes full control for JPreston.

JPreston is a member of domain users.

I tried doing offline files with a seperate share\server and the same problem occured for this user.  He is unable to ssync back files when he has full access to the directories and access to the parent's of the directories he's trying to place files...

I have no idea what to try and offline files are working for other users.
