Please help, sever will not start after dcpromo

Hi,

I was having major issues with AD and DNS integration so I decided to demote my SBS2k3 server via dcpromo and upgrade again.

Bad idea...now, it seems my MOSS site doesnt work anymore, and I can't log onto the server.

Its stuck at "Applying Personal Settings" on the Administrator account

I saw this error when I booted in safe mode:

internal error: unavaible start active directory

Any ideas? I need this resolved ASAP so max points!!

Unless you had another DC, you'll have to restore from backup.
If you don't have a backup or second DC, you'll have to wipe that installation completely and install from scratch, sorry. By demoting the machine, you've destroyed your AD, and promoting it again created a new, different, domain (same name or not). In addition, SBS is pretty peculiar about its installation: you now have a base installation from the old domain including permissions from the old domain, and an AD from the new promotion. I don't see any chance to fix this in such a way that SBS will work again.

What options are available to restore MOSS?
