how can I tell which storage disk type (SAS and SATA) are connected to my SAS LSI 3442x controller on a linux Redhat operating system?

Will list all connected hard drives.

i know fdisk -l command will list all hard drives but what will tell me the hard drive type (SAS, SATA, Fiber Channel)?

In the sg3utility package, is there a command that can show the difference between SATA, and SAS disks?
