Blackberry Professional - cannot recreate deleted user - it says I must recover user first - on SBS
I have Blackberry Professional Express running a Small Business 2003 server. My database is SQL Server Express 2005.
I have three users that were successfully using their Blackberries. One of them got a new BB, and I decided to delete and then re-add that user. I deleted him successfully, but when I try to re-add him, I get the error "User 'username' is in delete pending state on server 'servername', please recover the user before adding user to server."
Because I'm on Blackberry Professional and not full BES, I do not have a users pending delete tab.
This page from Gary Cutri talks about my exact situation:
http://www.blackberryforums.com.au/forums/general-bes-discussion/2018-bes-professional-recover-user.html
However, when I go to a DOS prompt and type 'osql -E' I get
C:\Documents and Settings\besadmin>osql -E
[Shared Memory]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
[Shared Memory]ConnectionOpen (Connect()).
This is a bit over my head, and I'd appreciate any advice anyone can provide.
If I'm correct, I could go into the SQL database for my Blackberry server and delete this user direcly, but I'm a little iffy on that process on where exactly to look.
Thank you

Sounds good, but I don't see "user config" - here is what I see.

The dbo.userconfig table is under "tables" items.

I look under dbo.userconfig and everything underneath it. I don't see anything corresponding to the username I am trying to delete. See attached for top level underneath dbo.userconfig.
In troubleshooting this issue, I have decided to scrap my entire SQL DB since I somehow messed up my other BB users. So I created this question:

If you have any input, please feel free to add. Thanks

That's exactly what I needed. I wish you had been more clear about where exactly to go initially. It would have saved me 9 hours of troubleshooting and eventually reinstalling the whole Blackberry server. This is helpful for future reference.
This fixed my issue too!
Log on as your besadmin account and select Windows trust authentication.
Open table "UserConfig" and delete the entry where appear your old BlackBerry user.
