Connect to Small Business Server Error 721 and 619

We moved our SBS 2003 standard network to new location.  Switched ISP's from Charter to Verizon and was issued a new static ip.  Server has two network cards.  Connect to Small Business Server always worked from old location with Charter and linksys 4 port router.  When we moved everthing worked fine except for VPN.  I researched the web and found that there were a lot of problems with GRE Protocol and linksys router but obviously this worked before.  Anyways I purchased another linksys 4 port and got the same error.  I would get the error 721 regardless of being inside or outside local network.

Today I got frustrated and set up the public network card with the Verizon static ip and eliminated the router completely.  I could connect from inside my network from two machines connected to a linksys wireless access point which is connected to a linksys switch connected to the servers local lan card.  One of these machines was my laptop and the other was my workstation.  I took the laptop home and now I'm getting a 619 error from outside the network.  I RWW into my workstation inside the network and it can still connect.

I have rebooted the server and ran connect to internet wizard and remote access wizard several times.

Can anyone help?  I just need to get some work done.

Thanks

MobileBiz,

ow, just reading the full question now ... it seems that linksys routers doing a BAD job on GRE passthrough .... what type of linksys was it?
btw, did you run the 'remote access wizard'?

suppaws,

Perhaps my question is poorly written.  I have eliminated the router on the wan nic.  It is hooked directly into the Veriozon dlsl modem.  Verizon walked me through putting it into bridge mode and claim that they are not blocking GRE protocol.  The error 721 stopped after the router was eliminated.  I now get error 619 when trying to vpn from computers not connected to the local nic.
This morning I tried using Connect to Small Business Server from my laptop at home.  I get the following message:

The connection was terminated because the remote computer did not respond in a timely manner. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help and Support Center for this error number. (Error 718) For customized troubleshooting information for this connection, click Help.
Connecting is cancelled.  Click Connect to begin connecting again.  To work offline, click Cancel.
and did you run the remote access wizard on the SBS?
btw, it's not that good to connect straight to the verizon dsl modem, it's better to have a router/firewall but it's ok for testing now.
Yes, I have it connected that way for testing.  Will get router after problem solved.  I just ran the "configure remote access" wizzard again.  I tried to connect from home and got the following message:

A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help and Support Center for this error number. (Error 619) For customized troubleshooting information for this connection, click Help.

have you checked all 6 points?
That will keep me busy for awhile.  I'm at work and won't be able to try this stuff until tonight.  I'll check back in soon to let you know how it is going.  Thanks.
GRE was the issue.  Switched ISP back to Charter. Problem solved.
