Input, crc, fram and overrun errors

I have a point-to-point WAN setup between a 2800 series and an 1800 series router, in India mind you, that connects two offices. One of the offices is a part of our MPLS and that is how they communicate on our corporate WAN. However, these two location are tied together via this point-to-point. On the serial interfaces, I am seeing HUGE numbers of crc, frame and overrun errors. With a little research and the overrun and crc errors i'm thinking i may have a hardware or buffer issue, not really sure.

Is this a new circuit or it has been working fine for awhile?

I would open a ticket with your E1 provider and have them test intrusively.  With this amount of errors, they should be seeing them also.  To be proactive, you could replace the patch cables between the routers and the telco smartjack to rule those out.

Yes, this line works fine for about 3 weeks and then starts dropping packets like crazy, nothing can be done at that point. I've had the tech over there replace the cables from the smartjack to the router but the same thing happens. Whenever i have them do the intrusive testing, the problem goes away... for awhile. Just looking for a fresh perspective.

The issue is with the circuit; I've done everything you've mentioned and we still have issues. The continue to push back and I in turn do the same.

Thanks for your help!
