Offline Folders setup in SBS 2003 R2

Laptop users in our SBS 2003 R2 domain want to have local access to their My Documents folder content.  Foloder Redirection is turned on via the server's Group Policy. Folder Redirection GPO settings haven't been modified and are in the "not configured" state for Computers.

What changes need to be made to allow the files to "live" both on the server and on the laptops?
CAVEAT 1:  There are only 3 laptops so, please keep in mind we would rather individually configue each laptop as opposed to applying a new OU on the server.
CAVEAT 2:  We don't want to lose any of the user's files/folders now found on the server.

Hello Barnabus2006,

IF the computers and users are joined via the wizards, and you've also configured the my documens redirection via the wizard in the SBS user console things should be fine.
Did you do this that way?

"Did you do this that way?"
Yes, the computers were joined via SBS wizards. It looks like two issues have arisen.  I'll only deal with one of them here and post a separate question for the related issue.  Apparently one laptop user has had some setting(s) changed so that My Documents are solely on the server. So, no offline work can be accomplished.  How does one undo this?

No items now show up on this Laptop.  Double-click on My Documents then go to  Tools -> Synchronize and the window titled "Items to Synchronize" show no items with check boxes. Clicking on the Setup button shows the LAN Connection with not items to synchronize.  How do we get these items to reappear?

On the right track.  Actually, the client laptops had offline folders turned off. So, turning that client feature back on fixed the issue.
