Thanks for the response. The mail is being sent to a POP server at my ISP who insists that 5MB should move quickly.Is there anything that I can do on my network or within Outlook to speed this up?<br />

Hi - we ran office diagnostics which reset the user's profile. Since then the problem has not re-occurred. Sorry for the delay...I wanted to have enough time to make sure the problem did not come back.

I have Outlook 2003 running under Windows XP. Whenever I go to send a message with an attachment that is usually under 5MB, outlook takes quite a long time to send the message.<br />

All of the Windows updates have been applied. The virus protection is Avast Home Edition and SpyBot S&amp;D is also installed.<br />

Any suggestions to speed up my Outlook 2003 will be greatly appreciated!<br />
