Exchange anywhere stays disconnected after password change
Hi,
i have used outlook anywhere till now without any problems, yesterday we set up complexity requirements for passwords and made all users change their passwords. Now Outlook anywhere does not connect and keeps showing disconnected in the bottom.
When i connect to the VPN it does work. Webmail does work also.
This also happened to a user who changed his password on his laptop inside the LAN as well.
the certificate is not expired (not until april 2010). I tried changing authentication to NTLM, closing outlook and reopening, but it stays the same.
Is there some caching on the outlook anywhere as well? because i keep entering my new password when outlook anywhere asks it. when i enter my old password, it asks the password again, because it does see it is not correct.
Any ideas?

What if you create a new Outlook profile on the machine? Does that make a difference? Are these domain joined machines, or stand alones?
ASKER
domain joined laptops. the user accesses his outlook from his cached domain logon.
You mean every time the users change their password they have to remake their profile?

No, I'm just curious if the problem follows the user to a new Outlook profile. Try it on one computer. I've never had that problem with Outlook 2003/Exchange 2003. Is the user logging into the computer with the changed password, or the old password?
ASKER
he uses the changed password.
Apparently it just started working again just now. So it must be caching of some sort. That makes about 8 to 10 hours of not being able to check the emails.
