how to create alias email domain in Exhcnage Server 2007
Hi All,
My company only got one AD domain (domain.com) therefore all of the email address is in this format username@domain.com same as our website domain.com.
at the moment we're hosting another service mydomain.com and I'm just wondering if within the same AD domain and Exchange Server I could make the email address for certain people becomes username@mydomain.com and username@domain.com
is that possible using one single AD ?
i know that if it's DNS name, i can just easily create a new mycomain.com forward lookup zone to point to the same servers.
I'm looking forward for your reply.
Thanks

Why do you need a transport filter? Where do you want the translation to occur/what are you trying to achieve?

ok,
from domain.com at the moment the user is sending and receiving using:
username@domain.com
however, some of the user who managed a web application hosting would like to be able to send email using username@mydomain.com while still wanting to get email from using username@domain.com so i was thinking that the address translation for outgoing can be done using Transport Rule.
sorry for the confusion.

In this case I need to create those two items that you suggest and i need to create a transport filter for each of the user whose email address translated into username@mydomain.com.
after implementing those three changes, does the modified user still be able to receive email sent to username@domain.com ?
