root@c18-ss-1-lb.cnet.com

I having one linux test pc. In that i have installed fc6 for testing purpose. I am relaying all my mails in that pc  through my mail server. If i send any mail from that test pc i am reeving the mail like this. It showing root@c18-ss-1-lb.cnet.com. it not showing root@myhost.com it showing some other address. I am using sendmail in that test pc.

Make sure you have all your /etc/hosts names correctly set up.

I have verified the hosts file and in local DNS. there is no entry for this name c18-ss-1-lb.cnet.com.

I'm working with another question here https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24232125/How-can-i-prevent-invalid-domains-from-redirecting.html?anchorAnswerId=23925617#a23925617 which have same sympton as yours. You can try check your resolv.conf file and ensure searchs parameter is defined with something like localdomain or a valid domain for this host.
