Creating a UFS raw partition on Solaris 10 LUN
I am trying to create a raw partition on a LUN running Solaris 10, after running a metainit, do I need to run a metattach? or newfs?

if you are looking for raw partition then there is no need for newfs

why do you need to grow the partition now? you may do it later if you feel that the partition space is full and then you can grow it.

What I'm trying to do is to connect a LUN slice to a metadevice for an Informix raw device. I realize that I need to do a metainit to setup the metadevice, I just wasn't sure if I needed to do anything else after that.
