Windows XP won't logon in the domain when i add DNS Server in TCP/IP

I have a DC running and doing a test on clients using windows 2000 and windows xp (both already working).
when i add DNS Server in TCP/IP on windows 2000 client it works fine but when i do it in windows xp it cannot login anymore with my domain.
