I have this issue now. Use Backup Exec 12.5. &nbsp;Same issue as described. All jobs end up queed. Restart of server or services doesnt change anything. Tried alot of different suggestions on different forums. The only thing i did that makes jobs work ok is to mode online media to Scratch media. Then it can run. This tells me that it cant be hardware issue. &nbsp;But when new tape is inserted for next days jobs its queed again.I have trippel checked the media set that is used in the jobs. Cant see anything out of the ordinary. This seems like a bug. Any suggestions? I am gonna try and make a new media set and use that to see if its a the media set that has &nbsp;a &quot;bug&quot;. Alerst doesnt give me anything as it only says that job could not run within time... &nbsp;, but no explanation on what is wrong. <br />

The backup status is Queued, what could be the reason?<br />
Does status remains Queued if the tape is not inserted?<br />
Remotely i have restarted all the services of the backup exec manually ran the job but still still as queued.<br />
How to reslove this issue.

Backup exec 12.5 job status Queued

The term "Backup" means the methods and processes involved to copy computer data (system data as well as application data) to media other than the ones where the data originally live (disk, tape, optical, cloud). "Restore" in turn means the methods and processes involved in data recovery, i. e., bringing back copied computer data to their original location. Backup/Restore primarily serves as a means of protection against data loss, be it due to disaster, corruption or sabotage.
