It doesn't require a specific program you can use windows itself.<br />
If it's using other software when you try to search using windows it will put an error that Windows is not controlling this device, (which can be returned to windows from the advanced options)<br />
If it shows no error, then may be the wireless antenna is damaged.<br />

She might have removed the Windows manage option for the wireless, it can be restored by the following:<br />

Control Panel -&gt; Network connection<br />
From the properties of the wireless connection<br />
Wireless Networks<br />
Check &quot;Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings&quot;<br />
<br />
And that's all ;)

But i can used this option only if wireless in ON but what if is OFF and cant find way to turn card on , there is wee swith on sied of laptop and diode is indicating the card is on<br />
i'm loosing it :/ any idea I've try to reinstal the card no luck :/<br />

But when I click wireless icon I task bar it shows no networks.<br />
Probably atheos software is in control of device but I can't find that panel!<br />
